Sustainability and Climate Change

As you learned in Lessons 2 and 3, the science is clear: Earth’s climate is changing, human activities are the major cause, and natural and human systems are at considerable risk in the face of current and future climate change.   What can be done?

When confronted with climate change and its consequences, students may feel overwhelmed and/or detached from a problem that seems remote to their everyday lives.  Presenting solutions along with scientific investigation of climate change can help counteract despair by showing students how they can become agents of change.
